Despite the challenges of Covid 19, Grimley pupils were determined to do as much as possible to support Children in Need this year. Led with gusto by the School Council, pupils took part in three different activities to raise money for the renowned charity event.
Firstly, the ever-popular Name the Teddy competition saw two winners – one from KS1 and one from KS2 – name a bear correctly. They each took home the furry friend as their prize!
Secondly, Year 6 Council members arranged for a Pudsey-themed colouring competition throughout the school.
And finally, the whole school practised and recorded a special Children in Need song, which was performed in a Covid-safe way in the school grounds. The performance was filmed and posted for all parents to enjoy, on the condition they donated to Children in Need. What a wonderful idea!
In all, the children raised over £150!!!
